Review:
This is book 2 in the series and I was really excited to actually get this book and after reading it, I am slightly upset that it got pushed back 8 months. With it being put back I actually expected the quality of the story to be much better.

So this book literally started straight after the first book which is really good. Basically in the last book the enemy attacked their ship but Orleia knew how to defeat it because she is a spy for them. She gets imprisoned at the start of this book and she is being questioned and treated really badly.

The others Vesper, Arran and Cormack discover some new intelligence while she is being questioned after another mission has gone wrong. After further investigation they discover who the new enemy actually is and they learn who to actually trust with this information. They are quite secret about it all until the agreement comes in place. I won't say too much about the agreement as this is the main plot within the book.

In this book there is a lot of character development as Vesper, Cormack, and Arran underago a whole new world of stress and their love lives get affected. The relationships between each of them all change for the best and by the end of the book it is quite hard to not actually like them all because they all have their perks.

The adventure within this book is actually very minimal, the main focus is on the main plot and there is no other second plots or anything, it's disappointing in a way but then at the same time it is nice because least you can focus just on the one story-line instead of multiple.

The only reason I'm really marking this down as 4 star is because with it being delayed, I expected it to be so much better. It is still a really good book, but with all the action and development weighed up to me it is still a 4 star book, this purely down to it being delayed and me finding it slow.
