Review:
This is possibly my last FairyLoot box for a while as I'm thinking of experimenting with other company boxes but haven't decided yet, as my life is all over the place again.

I was looking forward to this theme quite a lot because it's dark magic, who doesn't like dark magic. The books that were mentioned within the description of the box, I seemed to like and if I haven't read them they were definitely on my to be read list.

To be honest, I can't remember what the first item I discovered in the box was so I'll be following the spoiler card for my opinions, sorry guys!

First item on the list is the exclusive tote bag which has a quote on it from Leigh Bardugo's Grisha trilogy. It was a super pretty design and I like that it's a dark tote because light totes seem to get dirty a lot quicker in my opinion and I'm always so scared of washing them in case the design peels or the ink transfers elsewhere and ruins it. I have read a few comments on this tote and found that the actual quote is wrong. I'm not too bothered by this because I haven't read the trilogy but I suppose if you are a true die hard fan then this can be disappointing. It is slightly annoying that FairyLoot is still making quite a few mistakes on these boxes, I understand they are taking more boxes on but surely quality control should be picking this up. Maybe they couldn't use the correct quote due to copyright issues but it would have been nice for them to mention in their box description before purchasing if this is the real reason.
Now onto the tea strainer, it came at just the right time as I had just bought myself some Easter tea from Whittard of Chelsea which is amazing I must say, but I sadly used my little dragon. The design of the tea strainer is such a cute idea, and with it being the black car from Nevernight series it is quite fitting. The black colour of the tea strainer is also good because it means that it doesn't stain as easy as light coloured tea strainers especially with berry loose tea. I will possibly get round to using it or I may end up just giving it as a birthday gift for my mam.

The philosophers stone soap is so cool; it really is, except that I didn't expect the stone to be so big. But I suppose it needs to be that big to get a lot of uses out of the soap. I still haven't actually used this or taken it out of the wrapper to see if there is a smell, so I can only comment on it's appearance. It looks so much like those candy dummies you get at carnivals but just in a stone shape, makes me so tempted to eat it but I won't because it's soap.

Fourth item in the list is a small a5 spiral notebook, it is based on the Children of Blood and Bone book, which I still haven't got round to reading. I know I really need to but I keep getting myself into stupid reading slumps. The design of the notebook was so gorgeous and pretty it sparkles. Everyone needs notebooks, even if they just sit there and look so pretty. It's great to just carry around in your handbag if you just need something to write on.

Now the book sleeve! The design isn't too pretty but I do find that this book sleeve is a lot bigger than the other book sleeves that have been included in past boxes, so I like this as I can now fit my hardbacks in with no issue. The only other downside of the book sleeve in my opinion is the material, I'm not too keen on it. It feels so cheap and tatty compared to past ones. But like I say that's my opinion so don't shoot me down.
The enamel pin for A Curse so Dark and Lonely was quite pretty, it was a really cute design, but it just really wasn't for me, I don't really like pins or badges sadly unless they are Harry Potter. But I know loads of people have been going crazy over it online and they all love it.

Now the tarot cards, the last item in the box apart from the book. This is the second set for the Six of Crows trilogy, which I also haven't read so I don't really have an opinion on the tarot cards because I don't know who the characters are or anything so to me it's just art work which I don't like. God I sound so fussy and boring.

The book was Nocturna by Maya Motayne. I've never head of the author before, the cover is so pretty and the sprayed edges on the book are just amazing, they go with the cover design perfectly, so I have to say it looks amazing. For once I haven't read the book straight away, I really should get round to it shortly but I'm in a reading slump and I'm trying to get myself out of it, so I'm sadly staying away from fantasy as that genre has put me in a slump twice in a row now, god damn it! But I'm sure it's going to be amazing and perfect, I'm sure my review will be up for it by the end of July, cause if I'm not out of this slump by them someone really needs to send me help.
Overall, this box was great I loved it, I definitely think it was one of the best boxes for a long time, I know most of my opinions on the items have been quite negative but I do think this box was worth my money, just wish they had candles and hot chocolate or tea in them again.
